Having launched my first (commercially reasonably successful) website from a suburban Chicago basement in early 1995, you could perhaps think of me as an Internet pioneer. Despite these early attempts of mine in the online world, it has taken me until 2009 to finally start my own blog.
I will endeavor to share interesting observations from my work and my life around the world as my family and I have lived in Chicago, New York, Germany, England, Singapore over the last ten years. We are now finally settled in beautiful Middle Tennessee and perhaps a few of our stories are worth sharing.
This blog is also meant to document my “voyage of discovery” in the world of marketing science, which is my principal professional interest. Only in recent years I’ve started to realize the crucial role of mathematics in such diverse fields as marketing, economics and the social sciences and thus some of my own “discoveries” posted here my seem rather obvious to the more educated reader. Nevertheless, I will attempt to share my own learnings in this forum in the hope of generating interest and perhaps a lively debate.
